Ping takes its name from the technique of measuring distance with sonar. In IRC, it is used to measure the time it takes to send a message to someone, and receive a response. Specify a channel to ping everyone in that channel. Some IRC clients will display ping requests to the user. ChatZilla does not.

Quand cette limite du nombre d’utilisateurs est atteinte, ChatZilla passe ce salon en « mode conférence », durant lequel tous les messages d’état (JOIN, PART, QUIT…) sont masqués. Si le nombre de connectés retombe sous la limite, le mode conférence sera automatiquement enlevé. En choisissant 0, le mode ne sera jamais actif, et avec 1 il le sera toujours.

When the number of users in a channel sufficiently exceeds this limit, ChatZilla switches the channel into "conference mode", during which JOIN, PART, QUIT and NICK messages for other users are hidden. When the user count drops sufficiently below the limit, normal operation is resumed automatically. Setting this to 0 will never use conference mode, likewise setting this to 1 will always use it.

Your usermode is an option string that is sent to the IRC network. It is composed of a plus sign ("+") followed by one or more letters, each of which represents an option. The letter "i" represents "invisible mode". When you are invisible, your nickname will not appear in channel userlists for people who are not in the channel with you.
